In case you missed them, we’ve compiled a list of the latest recalls issued by the FDA and USDA.

We’ve rounded up a list of recalls issued by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as well as the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) within the past couple of weeks that you should know about. They include the following:

Seacrest Foods Recalls Soft Ripened Cheese Due to Potential Listeria Contamination

Seacrest Foods International, Inc. has issued a voluntary recall for 29 cases of Formagere de la Brie brand, l’Explorateur soft ripened cheese due to potential contamination with Listeria. The cheese was made from pasteurized milk and had been distributed to several retail stores throughout 5 states—Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Jersey, and New Hampshire.

The product was distributed between February 6, 2018, and March 31, 2018 and comes in clear 250g plastic packages bearing lot numbers H010 and H011 on the bottom; the UPC is 3 390010 004080. To date, no associated illnesses have been reported.

More Pet Food Recalled Due to Potential Listeria Contamination

K9 Natural Ltd has issued a voluntary recall for 4 batches of their K9 Natural Frozen Chicken Feast products in 2 sizes—2.2- and 11-lb. bags. The products, imported into the US market back in June 2017, were recalled due to potential Listeria contamination.

Listeria can affect animals who consume the products—eliciting nausea, vomiting, aches, fever, and diarrhea—and humans who are handling the products are also at risk of infection, especially if they did not thoroughly wash their hands after contact. To date, no associated pet or human illness has been reported.

Over 200 Million Shell Eggs Recalled Due to Potential Salmonella

Rose Acre Farms, based in Seymour, Indiana, issued a massive voluntary recall of 206,749,248 eggs due to potential contamination with Salmonella Braenderup, a fairly rare strain of the bacteria.

The egg products were distributed from a farm in Hyde County, North Carolina, to several states including Colorado, Florida, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and others.

To data, a total of 23 associated illnesses have been reported.

Fresh Foods Manufacturing Co. Recalls Salad Products Due to Potential E. coli

Fresh Foods Manufacturing Co. has issued a voluntary recall of about 8,757 pounds of ready-to-eat salad products due to potential Escherichia coli (E. coli) O157:H7 contamination, according to the USDA.

The products—Caesar salad with chicken, chicken and bacon salad, garden salad with chicken, and chef salad with ham, turkey, and hard-boiled egg—were produced from April 9, 2018, to

April 12, 2018 and half a shelf life of about 4 days; they were shipped to retail locations in Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

Vitakraft Sun Seed Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of 1 lot of Sunseed Vita Prima Exotics Sugar Glider Formula due to potential Salmonella contamination. The bacteria can affect animals who consume the products and humans who are handling the products, especially if they aren’t washing their hands after contact.

Beef Pet Food Enhancer Recalled Due to Potential Salmonella Contamination

TruPet, LLC has issued a voluntary recall for a limited amount of Boost Me Mighty Meaty Beef Topper Meal Enhancer as the products have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The limited recall is comprised of 400 cases and was distributed to the continental United States via Chewy.com and TruDog.com.

Viable Solutions Kratom-Containing Powder Products Recalled Due to Potential Salmonella

Viable Solutions has issued a recall for kratom-containing powder products due to potential Salmonella contamination. The recalled products were packaged in kaft paper, foil-lined heat sealed pouches and sold in 4 different sizes—25-, 100-, 250-, and 1000-grams. They were sold directly to consumers on a national scale between January and February 2018 via company websites.

Nutrizone Recalls Dietary Supplements Due to Possible Salmonella

NuriZone, LLC has expanded its recall of kratom dietary supplements to include more lot numbers, as they contain the same source material as the original recalled lots. They are issuing the recall out of abundance of caution.

The recall has been issued due to potential Salmonella contamination.

Triangle Pharmanaturals Recalls Kratom Products Due to Potential Salmonella

More kratom products are being recalled, this time from Triangle Pharmanaturals due to potential Salmonella contamination. The kratom-containing powder products were processed, packaged, or held between April 4, 2018 to present time.

Smoked Salmon Spreads Products Recalled Due to Listeria

Superior Foods Company has issued a voluntary recall for a specific lot of Smoked Salmon Spreads (487 lbs.) that had been produced on March 26, 2018. This action has been taken due to the fact that Listeria had been detected during routine inspection and testing by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

These products were distributed to 5 states—Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Minnesota—and we sold in both retail grocery stores as well as some food service businesses.

NxtGen Botanicals Maeng Da Kratom Recalled Due to Potential Salmonella

NGB Corp. has issued a voluntary recall of NxrGen Botanicals Maeng Da Kratom labeled bottles of encapsulated product due to potential Salmonella contamination.

One associated illness has been reported to the FDA to date.
