Hello and thanks for joining me. I’m assistant editor Grant Gallagher. I’ll be giving a quick summary of our recent coverage on Contagion.
In our coverage today, we examined how current methods of industrial farming and agriculture increase the risk for epidemics.
We also discussed the fact that some medical journal editors are calling for managed expectations about the numerous clinical trials that will soon release results on potential coronavirus treatments. Close scrutiny will be necessary to parse through the new information.
We also featured an interview with Dr. William Schafner, who gave an overlay of the vaccine landscape that’s in development for COVID-19.
Tomorrow, we’ll be talking about the use of PrEP to prevent HIV transmission among at-risk teens, among other stories, so be sure to stay tuned.
