“This is a very difficult question. At the moment we don’t have anything but [I believe] that in [the] future we will be able to create systems like the CRISPR/Cas9 system to neutralize the genetic production of this [mcr-1] gene. But at the moment, we are unable to neutralize the mechanism of resistance.
[In the future], we will [probably] find new drugs to bypass, to overcome, these system, but at the moment I will say that we don’t have a clear answer.”
