
The Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) Subcommittee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing had its series of meetings to update breakpoints for a variety of classes of antimicrobials.
Hirsch is the current secretary of the Breakpoints Working Group of the CLSI Subcommittee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing. She is also an associate professor at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy and runs the Hirsch laboratory in the Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology Department.

The Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute Subcommittee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing held a virtual winter meeting and a hybrid summer meeting in 2022. Ad hoc working groups have several breakpoint revisions underway for multiple organism-drug combinations.

Updates include novel and revised breakpoints for azithromycin, polymyxins, daptomycin, and cefiderocol.
