Doctors in the Cleveland Clinic Department of Infectious Disease diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of infections, using evidence-based national guidelines. The department provides around-the-clock inpatient care, including three general infectious disease consultation services as well as experts dedicated to solid organ transplant, bone marrow transplant, bone and joint infections and neuroinfections.
The Infectious Disease department is guided by the principles of excellence in patient care across the continuum of care; excellence in medical education through our Infectious Disease Fellowship; provision of opportunities for our staff to grow by partnering with colleagues in multidisciplinary teams organized around specific medical conditions; and offering inpatient infectious disease consultative services 7 days a week and providing continuity of care in our specialty outpatient clinics.
