Contagion is partnering with PER to host a live CME-Certified webinar on what clinicians need to know about COVID-19.

With over 350,000 total confirmed cases so far, the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic is on every clinician’s mind. With information evolving rapidly, questions and uncertainties are sure to arise.

While much about the virus and disease remain unknown, it is essential that we pool together the knowledge we have to respond effectively to this novel threat.

Contagion® is partnering with our sister company Physicians’ Education Resource® (PER®) to host a live CME-Certified webinar that will focus on what clinicians need to know about COVID-19.

Featured speakers include Jason C. Gallagher, PharmD, FCCP, FIDP, FIDSA, BCPS, editor-in-chief of Contagion®, clinical professor, Temple University; Helen W. Boucher, MD, FACP, FIDSA, chief, division of geographic medicine and infectious diseases, Tufts Medical Center; Carlos del Rio, MD, director, clinical sciences and international research, Emory Center for AIDS Research; and Stanley Deresinski, MD, clinical professor of medicine, infectious diseases, Stanford University.

The webinar will take place Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at 6 pm EDT. The webinar is designed to help health care professionals in the diagnosis, management, and potential treatment of COVID-19.

Contagion® and PER® strive to better equip clinicians who encounter patients with COVID-19 with the tools they need by analyzing the changing epidemiology of the virus, presenting the latest data on transmission and best practices to interrupt it, as well as reviewing investigational treatments.

“As a leader in the infectious disease space, it is our responsibility to quickly educate health care professionals on the rapidly evolving COVID-19 outbreak through Contagion®, which has been at the forefront of the pandemic since the beginning,” said Mike Hennessy Jr., president and CEO of MJH Life Sciences™, parent company of Contagion®.

“To make it even more practical, this webcast will also be certified to provide continuing medical education to our clinicians through the support of PER®, a leading accredited provider of CME.”

Through PER, the live webinar will provide participants the opportunity to earn 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and 1.0 nursing contact hour by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education and the California Board of Registered Nursing.
