Welcome to the Contagion Live News Network, I’m Michaela Fleming and this is your coronavirus update for Wednesday April 15, 2020.

There are now more than 2 million cases of COVID-19 worldwide. Six hundred thousand of those cases are in the United States.

Be sure to check out Contagion®’s listicle on COVID-19 clinical trials that has been adapted from clinicaltrials.gov.

If you missed our COVID-19 From the Frontlines webinar, you can read a recap and also re-watch the program.

Contagion® also covered the emergency use authorization of a saliva test for SARS-CoV-2 which was developed by investigators at Rutgers University.

Today’s new COVID-19 articles also zero in on medication shortages that are occurring across the United States and a detailed review of where supplies from the Strategic National Stockpile are being disseminated.
