As concerns are raised about prospective vaccines and their safety and efficacy, infectious disease experts offer support and insights about the development process.
As concerns about prospective COVID-19 vaccines continue to bog down the public’s confidence, the MJH Life Sciences COVID-19 Coalition has weighed in on this topic and the latest coronavirus pandemic news in a new survey.
For example, 100% of the members who were surveyed said they do not believe that a COVID-19 vaccine will be released by Nov. 1, and they identified engagement and uptake as the top challenge to the US Department of Health and Human Services vaccine distribution strategy.
The Coalition also recommends all Americans get an influenza vaccination immediately.
Here are some takeaways from the most recent survey:
The MJH Life Sciences COVID-19 Coalition is a partnership with 10 nationally recognized experts in infectious disease, public health, epidemiology, and virology, who work to generate the most accurate, up-to-the-minute information on the pandemic's ever-evolving impact on health care professionals and the patients they treat through live, biweekly webinar events, white papers, and surveys.
The next COVID-19 Coalition event, “Navigating the COVID-19 Treatment Landscape,” will be held October 13, at 6PM ET.
