The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has confirmed 3,887 measles cases in the United States as of October 1, 2026, reported from 47 jurisdictions, with 42 new outbreaks this year and 95% of cases linked to outbreaks.¹ That total already far exceeds the 2,289 cases confirmed for all of 2025.¹
