
FDA Detects Salmonella in Traders Joe’s Cashews
FDA recalls of specific lots of contaminated products.
Wenders LLC, based in Dublin, CA, has initiated a recall for specific batches of Trader Joe's Nuts, 50% Less Sodium Roasted & Salted Whole Cashews (SKU Number – 37884), due to the detection of Salmonella contamination. The issue was uncovered during routine FDA testing at import, which identified that at least one of the recalled lots tested positive for Salmonella. Consumers are strongly advised not to consume any products affected by this recall.

The recall targets the following lot numbers: T12139, T12140, T12141, and T12142. The products affected by this recall are identifiable by these lot numbers and their country of origin, India or Vietnam. They have been distributed across US states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Washington, and sold exclusively at Trader Joe’s stores. This recall does not apply to any other lot numbers or products.
