Fuji Food Products Issues Recall of Ready-to-Eat Sushi, Spring Rolls, and Salads Due to Possible Listeria monocytogenes Contamination

Fuji Food Products, Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of ready-to-eat sushi, salads, and spring rolls sold to retailers and distributors on the East Coast and in the upper-Midwest. The recall is based on a notification by the FDA of the potential for product contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

The problem was discovered during routine inspection by the FDA, in the company’s Brockton Massachusetts facility. The company ceased production and distribution of products in the facility in response.

UNFI Issues Recall of Wild Harvest Organic All Purpose Flour Due to Possible Escherichia coli Contamination

UNFI has issued a voluntary recall of 5-pound bags of Wild Harvest Organic All Purpose Flour, Unbleached, with a Code of AA BEST IF USED BY 010820 CC 15:58 and UPC Code 711535509158.

During routine FDA sampling of the 5-pound bag product, results were positive for E coli contamination. To date, UNFI has not received direct consumer reports of adverse events related to the recall.

Hodgson Mill Issues Recall of Unbleached All Purpose White Wheat Flour Due to Possible E coli Contamination

Hodgson Mill has issued a voluntary national recall of Unbleached All Purpose White Wheat Flour, 5 pound bags.

Hodgson Mill discovered the problem because of the potential presence of E coli found during sampling of raw uncooked flour. The company has not received any confirmed adverse health reports related to the product.
