Sun Hong Issues Recall of Enoki Mushrooms Due to Potential Listeria monocytogenes Contamination

The FDA has launched an outbreak investigation in several states concerning mushrooms which may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

On March 9, Sun Hong Foods issued a recall of all its enoki mushrooms imported from South Korea after the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development discovered that a sample of the mushrooms tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes.

Advanced Bionics Initiates Corrective Action of HiRes Ultra and Ultra 3D Cochlear Implants

Advanced Bionics notified regulatory authorities that it will initiate a voluntary field action to repair a small number of cochlear implants which have shown decreased functioning.

Customers with working cochlear implants can continue to use them normally. Out of 16,000 customers, the company reports that less than 0.5% of devices have experienced the issue.

Because of the need for revision surgery in cases which do present issues, there are some surgery related risks for patient harm.
