Maureen Hennessey, PhD, is senior vice president, director of Value Transformation with PRECISIONvalue. She has experience as a clinician and executive in the healthcare, managed health and behavioral health, EAP, health coaching, and IDN fields. Under her executive leadership, organizations have been recognized by the National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions (eValue8 award), the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), and the National Academy of Medicine for “First of a Kind” innovative health strategies that pioneered the integration of telehealth, crisis management, and social network hub concepts to reduce hospital readmissions, improve patient safety, enhance patient engagement, and expand patient-centric healthcare delivery. Maureen’s experience spans more than 3 decades of insight and perspective as an executive, clinician, academician, innovator, coach, and quality expert.

Prior to joining PRECISIONvalue and as a licensed psychologist in 2 states, Maureen has served as Chief Clinical Officer with Magellan Health Services and was VP of Clinical Coaching Services with Health Integrated. She also served as Executive VP/Chief Clinical Officer with BCBS of Kansas City and received an academic appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. She has provided clinical services within community mental health centers, integrated health systems, and the VA/DOD and has led the implementation of the first mental health parity program for state government employees in the United States.

Maureen represents PRECISIONvalue as a member of the NCQA Industry Council on Health Care Quality, the National Quality Forum (NQF), and the Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA). She has served as a gubernatorial appointee to the Missouri Suicide Prevention Advisory Commission; chaired the physical/behavioral health integration technical expert panel for the NQF/CMS’ Medicaid Innovation Accelerator Project; co-chaired the Digital Quality Summit’s Track, Rethinking Diabetes Care In The Digital Age, emphasizing digital applications of patient generated data for holistic outcomes; and served on the Addressing SDOH Together task force, sponsored by PCORI, PQA, and the Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF). She regularly publishes on behavioral health, population health, quality, health equity, and social determinants of health topics. Since joining PRECISIONvalue in 2012, she has led more than 500 quality and population health engagements in 17 therapeutic areas (including CNS) with 35 clients.

Maureen earned her doctorate in clinical-community psychology with internships in community mental health and neuropsychology. She has completed certificate training in public health violence/suicide prevention, coaching, healthcare quality, crisis intervention, and Mental Health First Aid.
