Dr. Peter Hotez Argues for Federal Coordination of COVID-19 Response

Dr. Peter Hotez is a physician and researcher with experience in neglected tropical diseases and vaccine development.

Dr. Hotez recently authored a paper proposing a federally directed but state-adaptive reopening centered on the goal of acceptable containment of COVID-19 nationally by October.

Dr. Hotez is also involved in vaccine development efforts related to SARS-CoV-2. In the first part of our interview, Dr. Hotez explains the "October Plan" for reopening with a cohesive national strategy.
