Richard Haupt, MD, MPH, vice president of Medical Development at Pfizer Vaccines, discusses what is needed to ensure that a future C. diff vaccine is adequately stocked and delivered to wherever individuals show up for vaccination.

Interview Transcript (modified slightly for readability):

“We expect the C. difficile vaccine to be provided by two major groups: one is the primary care health care providers as well as retail pharmacists, and this is very similar to what’s done for several vaccines that are delivered and given to adult populations of the same age. And so, our goal is to ensure that we work with those vaccine implementers to ensure that they stock the vaccine, have it readily available, and ensure that they can deliver those vaccines to patients or subjects or individuals who come in and are appropriate to be vaccinated.”
