White Castle Issues Recall of Frozen Sandwiches Due to Potential Listeria monocytogenes Contamination

White Castle Frozen Foods Division has issued a voluntary recall of a limited number of frozen 6 pack cheeseburgers, frozen 6 pack hamburgers, frozen 6 pack jalapeno cheeseburgers, 16 pack hamburgers, and 16 pack cheeseburgers due to the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes.

The recall pertains to products at select retailers with best by dates from August 4, 2020 to August 17, 2020. White Castle was alerted to the problem during routine third party sample testing.

Public health officials have not reported any illness associated with the recalled products so far.

Dole Fresh Vegetables Issues Recall of Colorful Coleslaw Due to Possible Salmonella Contamination

Dole Fresh Vegetables, Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of a limited number of cases of Colorful Coleslaw due to a sample of President’s Choice Colorful Coleslaw which tested positive for Salmonella.

The test which alerted Dole Fresh Vegetables to the problem was conducted by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. There have not been any illnesses reported to date.

Tailor Cut Produce Issues Recall of Fruit Mix Due to Possible Salmonella Contamination

Tailor Cut Produce has issued a recall of Fruit luau fruit mix with cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, and grapes due to possible contamination with Salmonella.

An FDA investigation began when state officials in Pennsylvania reported a Salmonella outbreak at 4 health care facilities. The investigation has discovered 33 laboratory confirmed illnesses of Salmonella thus far. Salmonella Javiana has specifically been confirmed at 3 of the 4 health care facilities.

Tailor Cut Produce was alerted to the results of the investigation by the FDA on December 6, 2019, at which point the firm’s leadership announced that they would implement a recall of the products.

CATSMO LLC. Issues Recall of Smoked Salmon Due to Possible Listeria monocytogenes

CATSMO LLC. has issued a recall of Cold Smoked Salmon due to the potential for contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Affected products were distributed in 11 states.

The potential contamination was discovered during routine FDA environmental sampling. No illnesses have been reported in association with the recalled products at this time.

Ruiz Food Products Issues Recall of Frozen Sausage Breakfast Burritos Due to Possible Foreign Matter Contamination

Ruiz Food Products Inc. has issued a recall of approximately 55,013 pounds of frozen, not ready-to-eat breakfast burrito products containing eggs, sausage, and cheese that may be contaminated with pieces of plastic.

The product was discovered when the firm received 3 consumer complaints pertaining to white, semi-rigid plastic found in the product. There have been no reports of injuries thus far.
