“[There are] a couple of different types that are common in kids. The most common one is bloodstream infections, usually [caused by] bacteria that get[s] into the blood through a central catheter or some other device. That’s the most common pediatric healthcare associated infection, overall. The second most common type that we see a lot in kids is respiratory infection, [such as] flu, other respiratory viruses, or pneumonia.”
