India recorded over 100,000 cases on Sunday, the countries highest daily total ever.
In the United States, 25% of the population is now fully vaccinated, and 40% have received at least 1 dose. Over the weekend, the country broke its own records, administering 3.37 million doses of vaccines on Sunday, making it the fourth consecutive day where at least 3 million shots were given out. In China, the country is planning on vaccinating an entire city on the border of Myanmar due to growing concerns over an outbreak there. Over 100 people in the city of Ruili have now tested positive for the virus, prompting authorities to launch a 5 day campaign in which they plan on vaccinating all 300,000 of its citizens. The outbreak is one of the worst China has seen in recent months.
Britain is set to debut its reopening plan today, which prime minister Boris Johnson says will include proposals for frequent mass testing, international traveling, and a possible program for vaccine passports. The country has seen outbreaks of COVID-19 recently, prompting nationwide lockdowns.
