Interview Transcript (slightly modified for readability)

“It’s really questionable whether any resistance can be developed against photodynamic therapy; as long as we are not selecting those drug-resistant bugs in the wounds anymore through chemotherapy, we are just killing them all in the same pattern. We are just living behind the drug-resistant selection and spread, and if we could also manage the dissemination of drug-resistant genes through plasmids, we can end up with dissemination of cross-interaction in between bacteria [and] the spread of drug-resistant genes. We are just blocking the thing in the beginning.”
