Dr. Ferry: "Bacteriophage is a virus that is specific to bacteria. It goes inside and there is a replication process, and the bacteriophage is also active against persisters because they have antibiofilm activity. It could be very interesting to use it in patients for whom we do not rule out a prosthesis to have the antibiofilm activity. In Lyon, we treated 9 critical patients in 2 years and we have seen a very nice result of this kind of therapy."
