“We know very little about Zika virus in indigenous populations. Of course indigenous populations in the setting of the Zika outbreak would include native populations and populations of non-Western origin in the effected countries, such as Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and Central America, and recently in Africa.

There’s just very little known about [Zika infection in] these populations at all, unfortunately.”
